Recently we delivered laptops, system units, monitors, switches, servers and routers in the interests of our customer from Saint-Petersburg to Moscow and Rostov-on-Don. The cargo was quite bulky for the combined one. The cargo with a weight of 1200 kg occupied 120 seats in the low tonnage truck compartment. The cost of the cargo was RUB 27,000,000! In addition to direct transportation, the client asked to arrange loading and unloading process as well as to pack goods at the shipping address.
A part of the cargo was in factory packaging and had to be put on pallets. The remaining part of the cargo, about half of the planned shipment, was without packaging at all. The driver arrived for loading with all the necessary materials. Considering the high cost of the cargo, the transportation was carried out by our vehicle.
A hired team of shipmen was allocated. They moved the cargo and our driver, an employee with many years of experience, wrapped each server and monitor in bubble wrap and put it in a box. After all the loads were placed in boxes, they were stacked on pallets and boarded-up for safer placement in the company’s small-tonnage car.
Due to the fact that the delivery of the cargo was planned to Moscow and Rostov-on-Don, the goods were de-consolidated into two batches. We also insured the cargo and provided the client with the necessary photo reports.
Delivery from Saint-Petersburg to Moscow at a distance of 710 km was completed the next day because there were no stops along the way. The delivery from Saint-Petersburg to Rostov-on-Don was carried onboard of LTL truck at a distance of 1,790 km. The customer received the shipment in 4 days. Thus, the project was implemented in compliance with all deadlines agreed with the client.
